يقوم الأعلاميون والمثقفون العراقيون بتنظيم مظاهرة سلمية لنصرة حرية الرأي والتغيير وستنطلق التظاهرة من ضفاف دجلة قرب تمثال المتنبي في شارع المتنبي في صباح يوم الجمعة الساعة العاشرة صباحا ً – المصادف 14 – آب – 2009 ، لتسير نحو بناية القشلة ، كما سيشارك العديد من منظمات المجتمع المدني تعبيرا ً عن تمسكهم بحرية الرأي والتعبير والتنظيم التي كفلها الدستور.
لذا ندعوكم للمشاركة الواسعة والفاعلة في هذه التظاهرة السلمية التي ستؤسس لموقف فاعل للرأي العام العراقي للضغط على صناع القرار والأجهزة الحكومية لضمان أحترام الحريات والحقوق الإنسانية
